Inconel-718-825-Boiler tubes, Inconel 718/825 Boiler Tube Manufacturer,Inconel 718/825 Boiler Tube Supplier, Inconel 718/825 Boiler Tube Exporter,Inconel 718/825 Precision Tubing, Inconel 718/825 Small Diameter Tube ,Inconel 718/825 Boiler Tubes

Sumer Metal Industries Pvt. Ltd. manufactures, supplies and exports high-quality Inconel 718 and Incoloy 825 boiler tubes to customers worldwide, including Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Spain, Germany, the USA, Canada and many regions across Africa. These nickel-based alloy tubes are produced to meet demanding industrial requirements where elevated-temperature strength, corrosion resistance and long service life are critical. Sumer Metal offers standard stock sizes as well as custom cut-to-length tubes with export-grade packaging and full traceability.

Inconel 718 (UNS N07718) is a precipitation-hardening nickel-chromium alloy strengthened with niobium and molybdenum that delivers exceptional tensile, creep and fatigue strength from cryogenic temperatures up to roughly 700–800°C. The alloy retains good toughness and ductility after welding and heat treatment, making 718 particularly suitable for high-pressure boiler components, superheaters, reheaters and turbine applications where both high strength and oxidation resistance are required.

Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825) is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy alloyed with molybdenum, copper and titanium to provide outstanding resistance to reducing acids, stress-corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-bearing environments. While it offers lower high-temperature strength than 718, 825’s superior corrosion performance makes it the preferred choice for flue gas desulphurization systems, chemical process boilers and environments where acidic or chloride-bearing media are present.

Sumer Metal’s manufacturing process for these tubes emphasizes material integrity and repeatability: starting from certified melts, through precision tube forming (hot-extrusion, pilgering or seamless piercing depending on requirement), solution treatment/ageing where applicable, and final inspection. Products are supplied with mill test certificates (MTC EN 10204 3.1), PMI/chemical analysis reports, hardness and mechanical test results, and can be furnished with NDT (UT/eddy current) and third-party inspection upon request.

Specification of Inconel-718-825-Boiler tubes

AlloyUNSCommon SpecificationsTypical Forms
Inconel 718N07718ASTM B444, AMS 5662, AMS 5596, ASTM B637Tubes, pipes, bars, forgings

Typical industrial applications for Inconel 718 tubes include high-temperature steam generator components, turbine casings and heat exchangers where creep resistance and fatigue strength are essential. Incoloy 825 tubes are commonly used in acid gas scrubbers, heat exchangers exposed to seawater or brines, petrochemical and fertilizer plants, and any boiler system where chloride-induced corrosion or sulfuric acid attack are concerns. Choosing the correct alloy and tube condition maximizes uptime and reduces life-cycle costs.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What are Inconel 718 and Inconel 825 and how do they differ?

Inconel 718 is a nickel-chromium alloy strengthened by niobium and other elements; it offers very high strength and good creep and fatigue resistance at elevated temperatures. Inconel 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy alloyed with molybdenum and copper for improved resistance to reducing acids and stress-corrosion cracking. In short: 718 = high strength at high temperature; 825 = superior corrosion resistance in aggressive environments.

2. What are typical applications for these boiler tubes?

Both alloys are used in high-temperature and corrosive environments. Typical uses include superheater and reheater tubing, heat exchangers, waste heat recovery systems, chemical process boilers, and offshore or marine boilers. Choose 718 where structural strength at high temperature is critical; choose 825 where corrosion resistance to chlorides, sulfuric or hydrochloric environments is required.

3. What are the important mechanical and temperature limits?

Inconel 718 retains significant tensile strength and creep resistance up to roughly 650–700°C (1200–1300°F) when properly heat-treated. Inconel 825 provides good strength and corrosion resistance up to moderately elevated temperatures (typically service up to ~600°C depending on environment). Always consult detailed design data for your specific operating temperature, pressure, and exposure.

4. What are the chemical composition highlights?

High-level differences (representative):

  • 718: Nickel-based with chromium, iron, niobium (columbium), molybdenum, and titanium/aluminum for precipitation hardening.
  • 825: Nickel-iron-chromium base with molybdenum and copper additions for improved resistance to reducing acids and chloride stress-corrosion cracking.

For precise weight % ranges and limits, refer to the alloy specification or material certificate supplied with the tubes.

5. Which standards and specifications cover these tubes?

Common tube specifications include ASTM/ASME standards for nickel alloys and boiler tubing. Typical references are the applicable ASTM/ASME material and product standards for seamless and welded tubes. Confirm the exact standard required (for example, seamless vs welded, temper, tolerance class) when ordering or engineering.

6. What dimensions and tolerances are available?

Inconel tubes are available in a wide range of outside diameters (OD) and wall thicknesses (WT), from small-diameter precision tubes to larger pressure-tube sizes. Standard lengths and custom cut-to-length options are common. Suppliers typically publish a dimension chart — confirm OD, WT, length, end preparation and tolerance class when requesting a quote.

7. How are these tubes supplied and what tests/certificates are typical?

Tubes usually ship with Mill Test Certificate (MTC) / EN 10204 3.1 or equivalent, showing chemical analysis and mechanical test results. Other typical tests: PMI (positive material identification), NDT (eddy current, UT), dimensional inspection, and heat treatment records. Specify additional inspection or third-party test requirements at the time of order.

8. Are Inconel 718 and 825 weldable and do they require special treatment?

Both alloys are weldable using appropriate nickel-alloy filler metals and controlled procedures. Inconel 718 often requires careful pre/post weld heat treatment and following recommended PWHT to restore precipitation-hardening properties. Welding 825 is generally more forgiving but still benefits from qualified welding procedures to avoid sensitization and to ensure corrosion resistance.
