The Inconel 800 family (sometimes sold under the Incoloy trade name) is an iron-nickel-chromium, solid-solution strengthened alloy noted for excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization and sulfidation at elevated temperatures, combined with good mechanical strength and toughness over a wide temperature range. The 800H and 800HT variants are produced and heat-treated to give improved creep and stress-rupture properties for prolonged high-temperature service. This makes 800/800H/800HT U-tubes ideal for petrochemical heaters, reformers, heat exchangers and other thermal process equipment.
Typical chemical composition and specification controls for the three grades follow the common industry standards: Alloy 800 (UNS N08800) is the base composition; 800H (UNS N08810) is carbon-controlled and grain-size controlled for creep resistance; 800HT (UNS N08811) has restricted Al/Ti and optimized heat treatment for still higher creep strength. These alloys are routinely supplied to the standard mill specifications and tested per ASTM/ASME/NACE requirements and ship with traceable mill test certificates (MTCs).
Mechanical performance (room temperature and elevated) includes good tensile strength, moderate yield strength and high elongation (excellent ductility), plus superior long-term creep strength for the H/HT variants when annealed appropriately. In practical terms you can expect annealed tensile strength values in the region of ≥ 450 MPa, yield ~170–205 MPa, and elongation ≥ 30% for typical annealed material — while 800H/HT will give notably improved rupture/creep performance at operating temperatures. Hardness and exact properties vary by product form (tube OD/wall, anneal condition).

Alloy 800 is the base grade; 800H has controlled carbon and grain size for improved creep/rupture resistance at high temperatures; 800HT tightens Al/Ti limits and uses a higher-temperature heat treatment to deliver still better long-term creep strength.
