Stainless Steel 304 is the workhorse grade for general austenitic applications — it offers roughly 18-20 % chromium, 8-10.5 % nickel, good toughness, and good corrosion resistance. 304L is a low carbon variant (L for “low”) with maximum carbon around 0.03 %, reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion after welding. For applications where welding or heat treatment may compromise grain boundary carbide precipitation, 304L is often the preferred choice.
We can manufacture both annealed (fully softened) and cold-worked or skin-passed tubes depending on required mechanical strength or dimensional tolerances. The bending process we use preserves wall thickness and internal finish, minimizing defects or thinning at the bend. Our quality control includes dimensional checks, hardness tests, non destructive tests (NDT / dye penetrant), and optionally PMI (positive material identification), as required.
